Stafford was known as Kedron from 1950 to 1972 and again from 1992 to 2001, and has been in Labor hands since 1951. Terry Sullivan became the member in 2001, having previously been the member for Nundah (1991 to 1992) and Chermside (1992 to 2001), and is now retiring.
